The QTNT® Process
5 minutes a day
After completing a single training session, employees clearly understand how to document accomplishments, large and small, simply and quickly.
Since accomplishments generally happen over time, the QTNT promotes spending a few minutes at the end of each day noting what was achieved that day. Over time, workers begin to see how little wins add up, establishing an Accomplishment Mindset. Employees see how their efforts figure into the bigger picture.
The Accomplishments Inventory
Detail is key to individual & team success. Participants learn to describe the Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How (WWWWW & H) plus the $’s made or saved for each accomplishment. The Accomplishment Inventory is a living document.
The Accomplishments Statement
From each achievement’s WWWWW & H, employees craft a personal Accomplishments Statement identifying the What and Wow only from each item in their Accomplishments Inventory.
What & Wow = Business Nirvana
Here are two accomplishments presented in the What & Wow format.
1. (I was) Responsible for (What:) Producing a Section Cover Sheet minimizing
errors across the organization (Wow:) saving the company $2,500,000 annually.
2. Responsible for Implementing a Best Bookkeeping Practice that saved the organization $3750 monthly or $45,000 annually.
WHAT & WOW is how accomplishments are shared. There is little detail in these statements. Wows are generally followed by managers asking, “How did you do that?” An employee can now describe the Who, Where, When & Why behind their achievement and potentially participate in a company-directed, achievement/self-funded bonus.
