Understand that the Short-Form Resume and Page 1 of the Long-Form Resume may not look like what you think a resume should look like, but these documents will survive resume scanning software. Based on Rick’s extensive experience working with HR recruiters and staffing company professionals, the Short-Form Resume (the same as page 1 of the Long-Form Resume) is a ‘breath of fresh air’ compared to the drivel that professionals receive daily.

When reviewing the Short-Form Resume, note the white space you NEVER find on current resumes. More copy achieves nothing–especially when recruiters receive up to 500 resumes (plus!!) daily. BUT you will also note that everything a recruiter needs to know about you–regardless of the position you seek (entry-level to senior professional) is on this document. Think of the Short Form Resume as your Professional Introduction.
