You did something cool on the job today
… that at first glance may not appear to be a big deal. But over time things have a way of adding up. And while that brainstorm you put into play on the job today may be top of mind now, there’s a very real chance you won’t remember
it a month from now–or even think about it tomorrow!
To avoid forgetting something that could be professionally beneficial to you long after its arrival date, The QTNT suggests placing a few notes about the wins you enjoyed today in the open space at the bottom of your calendar after each day is done (say, in the 6–10 p.m. slots). You might even want to create a traditional work diary.
Review these notes every few weeks. (The QTNT does!) At some point when you least expect it you may be surprised by what you find. And importantly, your notes—if they contain enough of the right originating information—could be invaluable…or, um, valuable–or BOTH!
This wee bit of effort at the end of your day could mean a bonus or a promotion
or a personal accomplishment to be noted and shared! This is also a terrific way to prep for year-end review.
